Dr. Gabe Muller
 |
Dr. Gabe
Muller graduated from the Western College of
Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in
1980. Over the years Dr. Muller has combined his
interests in veterinary medicine, family and travel.
He first spent several years in a specialty
emergency practice developing skills needed to
quickly evaluate and prioritize health problems as
they are presented. He has spent the last number of
years helping ensure the health and well being of
family pets as owner of Vancouver Veterinary
Hospital.
Dr. Muller maintains a broad
perspective and whole animal approach to veterinary
medicine. In addition to western medicine, Dr.
Muller has completed courses in complimentary
medicine including acupuncture. Because of the
complicated and ever changing world of veterinary
medicine, Dr. Muller maintains his skills in an
ongoing manner with continuing education.
In addition to his love of
veterinary medicine and pets, Dr. Muller also has
the love of a family with four young active
children.

Kayla Kayla
has been with the practice since spring of 2006 as a
veterinary technician while studying at Thompson
Rivers University. In January 2010, she
graduated from the university's Animal Health
Technology program and is now a Registered
Veterinary Technician (RVT).
Since childhood, Kayla
has always been surrounded by animals. She is
now owned by 3 cats:
Atticus, a
beautiful outgoing 4 year old long-haired boy
which tends to be very bossy.
Madeline, a very
shy but affectionate 3 year old female that was
adopted from the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue
Association.
Minou, the newest
addition to the household, which is a 1 year old
polydactyl kitten that was found abandoned in a box
beside a river.
When she is not
spending time with her felines, Kayla enjoys hiking,
jogging and reading. |

Jacqui
Jacqui has been with
Vancouver Veterinary Hospital since 2008 and has
brought us the humorous spirit of Ireland. She
is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and has
a Bachelor or Arts degree from UCC Ireland (2003)
and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from St. John's
College Ireland (2007).
Jacqui has a soft
spot for animals in need. She lives with LeeRoy, which she rescued as an abandoned
cat
that needed a good home. The latest addition
is Poutine, a French Bulldog that was adopted from a
rescue group. Poutine was so shy when she
first arrived, but now her personality has blossomed
in her new loving home!
In her spare time,
Jacqui loves watching movies, travelling, sewing,
crafts, snowboarding, photography, blogging, and
attending live music. She can also speak a bit
of the Irish language (yes it's a real language)! |

Colleen
Colleen joined the team in summer of 2010 as
Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant. She has
been in the veterinary field for four years and her
experience at previous clinics has made her a great
asset to our hospital.
Colleen lives with
Fling, an adorable 2 1/2 year old domestic
shorthaired female that always has that
"deer-in-headlights" look on her face. She was
adopted as a kitten from the SPCA. She also
has Charlie, a 9 1/2 year old male Munsterlander
that is a retired hunting dog. He was adopted
from a family that could no longer keep him.
When not spending time
with her pets, Colleen enjoys baking, camping and
travelling. |

Luba Luba
joined the team in 2010 as Receptionist and
Veterinary Assistant. She recently moved from
Winnipeg to enjoy the lovely west coast lifestyle.
She has been in the veterinary field for five years
with a vast amount of experience working in other
clinics. Luba's
household is run by Tyke, a black Labrador
Retriever. His lifelong buddy, Teddy, passed
away earlier this year at the age of 15. He is
greatly missed. Luba recently adopted Fritz, a
goofy domestic medium haired feline that spent a few
months at the hospital as our clinic cat.
In her spare time, Luba
enjoys snowboarding, volleyball and keeping active
in the great outdoors. |
 |

Sandy
Sandy has been part
of the practice since 2003 as a Registered
Veterinary Technician (RVT). She received her
Diploma in Animal Health Technology from Thompson
Rivers University in 2002.
She lives with her
two cats, Pumpkin and Boo, and Rascal the dog.
In her spare time, Sandy enjoys horseback riding and
working with dogs in area search and rescue
training. |

|
Allyssa
Allyssa has been part
of the team since 2007 as a Veterinary Assistant.
She is currently in the Douglas College Animal
Health Technology Program class of 2012, studying to
be a Registered Veterinary Technician.
Her household is run
by a cat named Sandra, a 13-year old black domestic
shorthaired feline. We will always have a
special place in our hearts for
Darrin, Allyssa's sweet, adorable and brave cat who passed
away earlier this year. We miss him dearly.
Allyssa is also the
proud new owner of Mama Cat (our retired clinic
cat)!
When Allyssa is not
studying or working, she enjoys cooking, hiking and
dancing. |

Melody
Melody joined our
team in May of 2010.
She received her degree in Veterinary Medicine in
the Philippines and now works as a Veterinary
Assistant.
Melody shares her home with Kissyfur,
a 7 1/2 year old domestic shorthaired
orange tabby. He was relinquished as a
diabetic cat whose previous family could no longer
care for him. After treatment and proper care, Kissyfur's diabetes went into remission.
In her spare time,
Melody enjoys travelling, singing, and appreciating
nature. She is looking forward to doing more
adventurous activities such as swimming with sharks,
spelunking, and skydiving. |

"Mama Cat"
We would like to congratulate
"Mama Cat" for finding her forever
home!
"Mama Cat" came to Vancouver Veterinary Hospital in
2003 as a rescue cat with a litter of kittens. She
became
our beloved clinic cat for 8 years. She was
always spoiled with treats from team members and
clients and was loved by all.
Although her presence
will be greatly missed here at the hospital, we are
happy that she has found a wonderful home for her
retirement years! |

"Fritz"
Fritz is a senior
male cat that arrived at our clinic in June this
year. He was destined to go to the SPCA
because his current family could no longer care for
him. It was just his luck (and ours) that he
found us.
He had become our
clinic cat for a few months. Then one of our
team members fell in love with him and took him
home! He is now spoiled and cuddled every day
in a smaller space that he can call his own.
Congratulations to
Fritz for finding his forever home!! |
